NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE DISHCLOTH
Our 10/2 cotton is still only $8.00 per pound
WE NOW CARRY SOME 12/2
COTTON AND SOME 8/2 COTTON also at $8.00 per pound
When knitting dishcloths you can put a 12/2 together with an 8/2 and come up with the same weight as putting two 10/2 cotton strands together. Here at Daisy Knits we will also combine a 12/2 with a 10/2 or an 8/2 with a 10/2. The weight of the dishcloths is lighter with one 12/2 and one 10/2. The weight of the dishcloth is a bit heavier with one 8/2 and on 10/2 combined. None of our dishcloth customers have noticed the difference in the weight and we still sell lots of dishcloths.
If you would like to order some of the cotton you can email me and let me know what you would like. The yarn comes to us on large cones. We wind off (on cones) as close as we can get to the amount you want. Email daisyknits@daisyknits.com
As of 10/01/12 we sell the dishcloths for $3.50 each or 3 for $10.00. The yarn should be used with two strands together on the standard machine. It is best to triple stranded it for use on the bulky machine. We get approximately 10-12 dishcloths out of a pound of yarn. That makes the cost to knit them about $.67 each. The yarn is soft and sturdy.
